The Architectural Technologist Association of Nova Scotia (ATANS) is a professional association representing architectural technologists, technicians, intern technologist, and students across the province. Our members play key roles in the design and construction of buildings—whether practicing independently, under the supervision of licensed architects, or as part of multidisciplinary teams.
Originally founded in 1968 and re-established in 2025, ATANS strengthens the recognition, visibility, and advancement of architectural technology as a profession rooted in technical design, building science, and practical application.

Membership grants ATANS designation: Additionally
certified Architectural Technologist for qualified members. Student associates may not use designations.
A formal recognition issued to individuals who meet the education, experience, and ethical standards of the association.
